Board Certified Behavior Analyst Bcba - Southside Or Jacksonville Beaches

Shining Stars Aba in Jacksonville, FL is looking for a board certified behavior analyst in the Southside or Jacksonville beaches areas to join our 23 person strong team. At Shining Stars we promote a family vibe while working together to improve the lives of as many kids and families as we can. We are a steadily growing clinic and are currently in the process of opening our second location. We are predominantly clinic based but will provide support both in school or home on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments not limited to the VB-MAPP, ABLLS, or AFLS upon intake and every 6 months, thereafter.

  • Develop a child-specific behavior plan in accordance with the principles of ABA.

  • Monitor and adjust the behavior plan throughout the treatment period, in accordance with the child’s progression.

  • Train each staff member on their client’s specific behavior treatment plan.

  • Provide supervision to Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs) working with clients.

  • Continuously conduct weekly reviews of data to ensure that treatment is effective.

  • Modify any programs that are not making progress or that the client has mastered.

  • Provide direct coverage as needed

  • Maintain appropriate records

  • Serve as liaison between students receiving special education services and outside providers, private psychiatrists, school staff, psychologists and community agencies

  • Consult with parents/guardians during parent training

  • Be present in the center during business hours

  • Assist with any clinical needs as they arise

  • Perform other BCBA duties/responsibilities required by the Program and within the scope of licensure and/or certification

Requirements:

  • • Minimum of a Master’s Degree conferred in behavior analysis or other natural science, education, human services, medicine or a field related to behavior analysis.

  • • Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) granted by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board

Registered Behavior Technician - Southside Or Jacksonville Beaches

Shining Stars Applied Behavior Analysis is looking for highly motivated and dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT's) to provide in-Clinic Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) therapy to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

Paid training starts at $16 hour, certified RBT's with experience will be paid depending on experience.

We provide reimbursement for the training course and the RBT exam if you are new to the field.

Basic Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Provides 1:1 individualized behavior therapy in our clinic, in the child’s home & community settings;

  • Completes necessary daily data collection;

  • Includes parents/caregivers in sessions to promote generalization and involvement;

  • Attends staff and/or team meetings as requested;

  • Communicates effectively with all team members;

  • Lifts up to 50 pounds, run, squat, sit on the floor, etc.;

  • Has reliable transportation and travel to multiple work sites;

  • Provides proof of valid driver license and current auto insurance;

  • Passes background/fingerprint clearance through DOJ and FBI;

  • Completes CPR training (provided by the company)

  • Works with children on the floor or at small tables

  • Demonstrates good judgment, decision-making, and communication skills

  • Exercises discretion and maintain confidentiality

  • Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing, bilingual is a plus
